The Bridal Outlet was founded in 2013 with one simple belief: every bride deserves to find a beautiful wedding dress she truly loves, without the stress of an overwhelming price tag.
Founder Lisa Jay began her journey in the bridal industry at just seventeen years old, working closely alongside Sydney-based bridal designers and seamstresses. Surrounded by fine fabrics, hand-finished details, and the artistry behind bridal gowns, Lisa naturally developed a strong eye for detail and a deep appreciation for thoughtful design.
Driven by her passion for sourcing beautiful wedding dresses, Lisa opened The Bridal Outlet to do things differently.
The boutique became known for its carefully selected off-the-rack bridal gowns, allowing brides to say yes to their dress and take it home on the very same day.
Brides travelled from across Australia to experience The Bridal Outlet, where they felt welcome, cared for, and at ease finding their dress.
As Lisa worked closely with so many brides, she began to see a shift in what brides wanted: more individuality, personal touches, and gowns that felt uniquely their own. When it was time for change, she embraced it wholeheartedly.
In 2018, The Bridal Outlet closed its doors as Lisa stepped into a new chapter, launching her bespoke label Lisa Jay Bridal Couture, located in Kenthurst, NSW, within easy reach of Blacktown, Kellyville, Rouse Hill, and Castle Hill.
About Lisa Jay Bridal Couture
Lisa Jay Bridal Couture specialises in custom-made wedding gowns, created in close collaboration with each bride. Every gown is thoughtfully designed to reflect her personality, vision, and story.
Customised gowns require 6–8 months to create, allowing time for design, fittings, and exquisite finishing details.
The Next Chapter
After several beautiful years dressing brides, Lisa stepped back during a season of life that called for family, reflection, and renewal. Becoming a new mother and listening closely to what her body and heart needed, she made the intentional decision to pause.
But the love for bridal never left.
In time, it became clear that bridal was calling her back.
Now, in 2026, The Bridal Outlet is preparing to open its doors once again, offering both a carefully curated selection of off-the-rack gowns and a small range of customised wedding dresses from our Lisa Jay Bridal Couture Collection.
We look forward to welcoming brides into a space shaped by years of experience and a genuine love for helping them find “the one.”
